Donation Guidelines for Handmade Greeting Cards for Paper Hug Greetings

Thank you for your interest in donating handmade greeting cards to Paper Hug Greetings. Your support and creativity will brighten the day of patients facing life-threatening illnesses. Below are guidelines to help ensure your cards can be used effectively to bring joy and encouragement to patients year-round.

Guidelines for Donating Cards

1. Card Themes and Messages

Please avoid any wording like “Get Well Soon,” “Feel Better,” or “Speedy Recovery” as not all patients will experience recovery. Instead, we encourage cards with the following themes:

  • General Uplifting and Encouraging Messages
  • Birthday Cards
  • Holiday-Specific Cards:
  • Valentine’s Day
  • St. Patrick’s Day
  • Easter
  • Patriotic Themes
  • Fall/Autumn
  • Halloween
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas

2. Card Sizes

We request cards in the following standard sizes to help manage postage costs:

  • A2 Size: 4.25 x 5.5 inches
  • Mini Slim Size: 3.5 x 6 inches

Please note: Cards larger than these sizes or in square shapes cannot be accepted due to postal costs.

3. Card Quality and Materials

To ensure cards arrive in excellent condition for patients to enjoy, please follow these quality standards:

  • Sturdy Card Base: Use a strong, high-quality card base to maintain the card’s shape and durability.
  • No Loose Glitter: For patient safety and ease of handling, please avoid using loose glitter on any cards.
  • Envelopes: Envelopes are appreciated but not required. If possible, please include an envelope that matches the card size.

4. How to Donate

If you’d like to donate cards, please reach out via the contact form on our website to connect with Christina. She will provide the mailing address where you can send your cards.

We deeply appreciate your generosity and the time you dedicate to creating these beautiful, handmade cards. Your contributions are a meaningful way to support patients in need of encouragement throughout the year.

Thank you for spreading joy and compassion through your creativity!
